SwimTech Wideopen Swimming Pool – Greenfields Community Primary School

Our very own pool at Greenfields Community Primary School is at the heart of SwimTech. Since acquiring exclusive use of the pool in 2010, we’ve been able to offer lessons here six days a week (Monday to Saturday), creating a truly dedicated environment for our swimmers.
Having full control of the facility means we can provide a calm, consistent, and safe space where swimmers feel at ease. With no other groups using the pool, lessons run without distractions, giving our learners complete focus and attention. Parents and guardians love the convenience and friendly atmosphere of our Wideopen pool where they can observe next to their swimmers on poolside. Children thrive in this familiar, supportive setting.
This pool is perfect for beginners, pre-schoolers, and younger children who benefit from a warmer, smaller environment with full focus from our instructors.

Facilities at Benfield Pool
Our second teaching venue is at the popular Benfield Sports Centre, a fantastic facility that allows us to cater for a wider range of swimmers. Here, SwimTech runs lessons on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, offering flexibility for busy families.
We primarily use Benfield pool for small group lessons (Stages 1–10 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme) as well as 1-to-1 and 1-to-2 swimming lessons. The size and depth of this pool make it ideal for children progressing through their stages, ranging from beginners to technically advanced.
Benfield Sports Centre is perfect for swimmers ready to build on their confidence, develop strokes, and practise skills in a larger pool environment.
Which Pool Should You Choose?
SwimTech Wideopen Swimming Pool – a constant 1 metre depth, warm and exclusively used by SwimTech. Perfect for pre-school, beginners, and stages 1-5 who prefer a quiet, supportive environment.
Benfield Sports Centre Swimming Pool – larger pool – shallow end 1 metre and deep end 3 metre. Ideal for pre-school, beginners, and stages 1-10 who are progressing through the Swim England programme and non-competitive advanced swimming.
